Overall, a very smart looking SE5 Scimitar in a very attractive blue, set-off nicely with the pristine Minilites. Inside, the upgraded cockpit with leather seating and Motolita steering wheel makes for a comfortable place to be. Most notable though, is the very impressive on road performance: precise steering, straight and strong braking, nice gearchange and slick overdrive allied with good oil pressure and steady, low-normal water temperature and a solid, very ‘together’ feel shows how well sorted this particular Scimitar is.
This a practical, 4-seater sports tourer ‘estate’ and also quite rare (circa 40 remaining, only 5 of this year). BME is a Scimitar which can be enjoyed as-is or with very little improvement used for showing. Without doubt, an SE5 which has clearly had lots of money spent on it - a very well-sorted car!
