RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the owner this rare, one-owner Rover 216 GTi TC; all proceeds going to charity! ......

H79XVJ is a one owner from new Rover 216 GTi TC 1600cc first registered in February 1991.

An enthusiast owner has cared for this Rover throughout its life and is both in amazing condition and also still very low mileage – just 72,572 miles at the last MoT test, dated 19 January 2016.

Huge history file with virtually every receipt and MoT certificate from new, also a Haynes Rover Service & Repair Manual, What Car, Performance Car and Autocar & Motor articles on the 216 GTI.

XVJ is driving very nicely and looks stunning – there are just 2 small areas where the lacquer is going through from regular waxing/polishing but she is otherwise almost as she left the factory. We understand the car has needed no bodywork repairs to date and the interior trim also remains in very good condition.

Presently fitted with after-market alloys, the original Rover GTI alloys are also with the car and remain in very good condition with no refurbishment needed (no tyres fitted).

As announced in a Classic Car Weekly news feature, the present owners wish for the proceeds of the sale to benefit the charity they work closely with - Guide Dogs – and in turn RetroMarques will take no commission from this sale so that the maximum amount from the sale goes to the charity.

The 216 GTI TC is a rare car today and within those few numbers, how many other one-owner, 73k examples are out there? This may be the only one! Offers in excess of £1500 invited.

Price: Offers in excess of £1500 are invited
