An opportunity to purchase a rare, Crosthwaite & Gardner replica Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica.  MNU894 has comprehensive history, correct UK V5C registration and is highly accurate with much attention to authentic detail including comprehensive restoration by IN Racing of Nottingham.

Specification/equipment:
Bristol 6-cylinder (1971cc) with billet steel crank, Carillo rods, Cosworth pistons, lightened flywheel, IN Racing camshaft, alloy big sump, purpose built exhaust, producing circa 140bhp
4-speed gearbox with gated reverse and Lightweight Overdrive unit (Bristol OD toggle switch)
Weather equipment including full mohair tonneau with centre zip
Aero screen shrouds fitted with a pair of aero screens (great looks, but the full screen [per photos] is a practical everyday/touring alternative)

Documentation:
An extensive history file accompanies the car with letters detailing ownership, car registration and past history, the original (green) logbook, Frazer Nash Replica ‘replicas’ article describing the Crosthwaite & Gardiner cars (including a comparison between these and the later Werner Oswald kit cars) and a box file of various F-N articles, magazines and other documents such as period racing photos.

MNU was re-worked extensively so as to refine the bodywork and now accurately represents the original Frazer Nash Le Mans Rep.  Indeed, a highly original, well-known, Le Mans Rep was available and used as a reference car for this re-work which is fully documented on a photo record and carried out by specialists at IN Racing.

MNU looks lovely – genuinely impressive - in the dark blue, slightly patinated paintwork and the Bristol straight-6 starts with a glorious bark.  She is manoeuvrable and easy to drive, powerful and quick on the road, with a very responsive throttle yet quite light, beautifully balanced steering and also good brakes – clearly a very well-sorted, ‘tight’ car and hugely enjoyable on a good road.

With original Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica values in excess of £600k, what better way to enjoy the experience than with this highly authentic ‘Replica’ and with this particular example, a car which several owners of an original Le Mans Rep have reported drives better than many originals!
