RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale 1931 Ford Model A Coupe ‘241 UXJ’...A striking ‘plum’ purple over black Type 45B 2-seater coupe with Dicky-seat Model A Ford. Imported from dry-state St Louis, Missouri in 2004. In regular use since then and eligible for international restorative rallies similar cars having competed in the Mille Miglia and Peking to Paris in 2016. Details:
History:
This Type 45B Model A Ford is fitted with white-wall tyres and a master electrical cut-off switch for additional peace of mind. The chrome is ‘fair’ whilst the interior is very smart in period black velour cloth. ‘UXJ’ starts easily and drives well – strong on the road with positive steering, nice smooth gearbox and good brakes. The body and chassis appear corrosion-free whilst the paintwork is showings some patina, most likely having been an older restoration we believe. The Dicky seat is fully serviceable. In summary, a well-sorted and very usable Model A in a very attractive colour scheme which is driving well and thus an opportunity to enjoy this pre-war motoring icon! Some history accompanies the Ford, along with a manual and some spares.
