RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the owner, Morris Minor 1000 Traveller ‘EWP790J’...A lovely Morris Traveller sadly now for sale as the present owner has passed away. In his ownership since June 2007 and only 4 previous owners, this is a very late Traveller – in the last 6 months of production – and built at the Adderley Park factory as a 1098cc Deluxe Traveller. ‘EWP’ is a well-cared for car with good wood, no apparent corrosion (in paint underneath) and driving nicely with a fresh MoT. The history folder has invoices and other paperwork back to 1997. Details:

The Traveller has been on SORN since 1 Oct 15 and has therefore been fully checked over on the ramp before submission for a new MoT test (valid to 29 Nov 17) and detailing. During the service check, we noted that ‘EWP’ has several upgrades fitted for improved usability, not least front disc brakes, a brake servo, front spot/driving lights, electric windscreen washer pump and inertia reel seatbelts. The underside is corrosion-free, with evidence of welding having been done, and the body is also corrosion-free. The paintwork is fair to good, quite usable, but if you wished, a respray would take the car to a much higher level of quality cosmetically. ‘EWP’ starts crisply from cold with a little choke, the gears engage smoothly, the steering is responsive and positive and the brakes strong (servo’d with discs on the front). She happily cruises with modern traffic in comfort and there are no annoying, untoward noises. In summary a smart and very usable, tax-free Traveller in an attractive colour combination with good wood and bodywork and driving very nicely. A fresh MoT test, nearly 20 years of history and the rare sun-visor complete the package; a very practical Traveller to drive and enjoy!
