RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the owner, BCV30K, a Heritage Bodyshell MGB Roadster...
A stunning chrome-bumper, road tax exempt MGB Roadster in midnight blue with matching blue mohair hood, grey leather upholstery and wood dash
A 1971 registered MGB restored in 1998 by Classic Cars of Cardiff, an MGB specialist, and obviously carried out to a very high standard as the shut-lines and panel fit is extremely good. It is relatively rare that the chrome trim is level across the front wing, door and rear wings but this car is near-perfect!
Heritage Bodyshell delivered (invoice) in May 1998 and then built up with mechanical items from the donor car (an MGB GT) and many new items, notably:
- Leather seats
- Wool carpets
- Walnut dash, matching gear knob and Moto Lita 14” steering wheel
- Inertia reel seatbelts
- Alloy rocker cover, K&N pancake filters
- New chrome bumpers
- Wind deflector and storage bag
- Fitted alarm with remote and face-off stereo )
- Chrome wire wheels (including spare)
- Chrome boot rack (new, unused)
Post-rebuild valuation in 1999 at £13,950!
MoT test valid to August 11th 2015
Overall this is a very attractive MGB – the midnight blue and chrome look stunning – and offering little concern regarding corrosion for the foreseeable future given the Heritage Bodyshell. Finished to a high standard of equipment and trim, BCV30K is driving very strongly with good oil pressure, low/normal water temperature and responsive brakes, steering and overdrive.
Finally an extensive ring-binder of history accompanies the car, including photos of the rebuild and an MGB Driver’s Handbook.
