RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale a Lancia Gamma Coupe 2500 i.e, Auto, 1982 ...

A very smart and imposing Lancia Gamma Coupe, recently imported from Germany and a fastidious 3rd owner, in turn following 2 previous Swiss owners.  A ‘time-warp’ car in very good condition which has clearly been cherished as the huge history file of invoices and associated ownership documents shows.  Also with the spare key set and various original Lancia documentation including original factory brochures and a Lancia Motor Club Journal dated Summer 1992 which contains a series of Gamma Coupe articles including by the well-known Martin Buckley and a Motor Sport road test!

Details/Specification:

  • Chassis no: ZLA830AC 400001934
  • First reg: 1 April 1982
  • Paint:  Lancia Blue (TBC)
  • 4-speed auto gearbox

Extras:

  • Air conditioning (separate service book, serviced in Dec 18, ice-cold!)
  • Metallic paint
  • Central locking
  • Front fog lamps
  • Rear safety belts (inertia reel)
  • Blaupunkt Mannheim 24 radio-cassette (there is a spare Blaupunkt Trier radio cassette with the car!)
  • Spares pack, including service items, seals, spare wheel set and car cover.

Recently imported into the UK from Germany, we have checked over and MoT tested the Gamma so she is ready for the UK registration process (we can assist if required).

This Gamma’s condition is very good overall, and one would not imagine it is 37 years old!  The dark blue paintwork is very good, with just some small touch-ups to note (very good colour match) and the brightwork is also very good.  The body and underside are in excellent condition and corrosion-free, noting it was cleaned and Dinitrol anti-corrosion treated in 2001 with no wet driving since!

Mechanically the Gamma has been very well cared for, including the purchase and fitting of a replacement engine in 2001 by the recent long-term German owner (19 years) simply because the previous engine had done 76,000 km!  The new engine has a mere 16,000km to date.

The interior is mostly pristine and the only points to detract are a split in the cloth to the driver’s seat rear bolster and very slight wear/fading to the driver’s seat.  The remainder of the trim and switchgear is in very good condition and everything appears to be fully functional – electric mirror, electric windows, air conditioning (ice cold and with its own service book!), radio and so on.

In summary a very striking Gamma Coupe in an attractive paint and trim combination and, we imagine, one of the very best in terms of condition – mechanically and cosmetically – having clearly been cherished.  The comprehensive history/documentation folder and an extensive spares pack both add value to the package and provide for piece of mind.  A stylish early 80s Italian Coupe ready for the new owner to enjoy yet practical too with the adult-sized rear seats, roomy cabin and generous boot.  A rare car too with only 1209 of this model built and seemingly only 3 on the road in the UK with another ½ dozen on SORN.
