RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the owner, ‘M5 XKC’, a 2002 Jaguar XK8 Convertible...

The present – and only 3rd - owner purchased this very striking XK8 Convertible as a damaged car and not content to simply repair that damage actually set about restoring it completely. Declaring that he is a professional, Jaguar-trained classic car specialist perhaps helps to understand why! The XK8 was stripped and then repaired to original factory specification tolerances and rebuilt into the fine example we see here. VOSA inspected the XK8 on completion.

In summary then, an opportunity to purchase an XK8 which has already undergone restoration and thus benefits from the inspection and removal of any deterioration over the first 10 years of its life. Since then a mere 5000 miles have accrued with the odometer even now only reading 49,650 miles!

Build details:

  • EK51 HMG, presently M5 XKC
  • First registered: 15 Jan 02
  • Chassis No: SAJAC 42M6 1NA21222
  • Eng No: NB0104061854
  • Paint: Phoenix Red (CGL)
  • Trim: Warm Charcoal (LEG)
  • BBS split rim 20-inch ‘Detroit’ alloys
  • Pirelli P-Zero tyres all round: 235/35ZR20 (front) and 285/30ZR20 (rear)

‘XKC’ is a very striking XK8, the rare Phoenix red paintwork, black hood and Detroit alloys set the car off. The paintwork is virtually blemish free and the alloys good with just some small marks to the lacquer. In the cockpit, the lack of wear commensurate with the low mileage is evident with the Charcoal wood setting off the upholstery nicely, the leather all being in very nice condition with none of the usual wear to seat bolsters.

The mohair hood is a lovely deep, matt black and remains complete with its hood bag. The stowage bag is present in the boot along with the space-saver spare wheel, warning triangle and jack.

Overall a very striking 3-owner XK8 Convertible with low-mileage, extensive service records, MoT certificates and invoices. The bodywork, interior and hood are all in very good condition, the BBS alloys shod in top-quality tyres with plenty of tread remaining, MoT test valid to August 2017 and thus no foreseeable expenditure required in the near future.

Please note that the private plate may be sold with the car but subject to the final purchase price.

Price: SOLD
