RetroMarques Ltd is pleased to offer for sale ‘WSJ 462’ - Austin-Healey 3000 Mark II (BT7) Tri-carb in Healey Ice Blue ...
This rare ‘tri-carb’ Big Healey was originally exported to Vancouver and registered as ‘093 KEC’. It returned to the UK with its owner, a Canadian Forces officer, in 1995 and was subsequently bought from him by a British Army officer colleague in 1998. In his ownership since 1998 the Healey has been well cared for and seen significant investment to improve and maintain it, not least a bare-metal repaint in 2006. ‘WSJ’ has lived just a few miles from Faringdon (nr Swindon) and cared for by the well-known Healey specialist Allan Cameron. ‘WSJ’ is only now offered for sale as a result of low annual mileage and a recent 2nd classic car purchase by the owner.

In summary, a very smart and quite rare tri-carb Healey in the iconic Ice Blue and chrome wire wheels and complete with the factory hard-top. The mileage is understood to be genuine as the few owners all garaged the car and used it sparingly. Well cared for by a known Healey specialist and showing very good body and paintwork, testament to the quality of the restoration, and waxoyl protected underside. ‘WSJ’ is driving nicely with a strong engine, good oil pressure, nice gearchange and overdrive, direct steering and strong brakes. Finally, the history file is unusually extensive, especially in the case of a former export car, and completes the package nicely.
